March 4, 2020 I was in Ghana working on the Mission compound that we are building there. I was up on the scaffold on the est side of the building. One of the walk boards broke and I fell about 4 feet and wrenched my back, which was not fully healed from my surgery. I was taken to the hospital. The doctors took one look at the hardware in my back and told me I needed to go home. March 7, 2020 I got malaria and was admitted into Ghana's military hospital sometime on the morning of the 8th. That evening at 8 PM I arrived at the airport to return to the US with an active case of malaria. The doctors had wanted to keep me for 2 more days, but I had to go. My flight had been changed because of my back. I threw up twice in the airport, before boarding the plane. I thank God that I did not feel sick on the plane for the entire trip. March 9. 2020 I arrived in the US and went straight from the airport to a hospital. I was admitted for the malaria for about 6 hours and they checked me out including my back. I was discharged because the malaria was gone. I was given an appointment to see a Nero surgeon for my back. March 12 we locked down. I did not get to see a Nero Surgeon until September. The doctors were afraid to see me because I had been in Africa.

During the lock down from March 2020 until December 2020, this is how the place looked. The first two pictures ate the front of the building. the third picture is the back and the fourth is the back. Five is the water tower and the water tank is still on the ground as you can see in the sixth picture. as you can see the building was up, no floors inside, nor was the front porch finished. People were living there the whole time. Travel was impossible as Ghana was accepting no international travelers. It was to be November 2020 before I was able to return.
