Visited Colombia for 3 weeks in January 2025. We had helped to open a drug rehab center in Barranquilla, Colombia in 2006. We had put a bakery along with it to make it self supporting, and those that needed help could earn their own way. Since then It has gone through 3 directors. The last one died a few months back, and Marina the women in red in the pictures below is now 70 years old. Younger people are needed to help run it. The guys in these pictures went through the program at the center. Over the years 100 plus guys have gone through drug rehab here.

We will also be remodeling the building as it has sustained some damage from the years. For a period of time the roof was leaking and some of the ceiling came down. It will need some repair in the Kitchen and bathroom as well. The wall surrounding the compound is in need of repair. We are currently raising $40,000 for this project. We are also looking at putting in a pop-sickle factory to help keep it self supporting, Which will be another $20,000.
